Terry Clarke

Terry discovered her passion for ballet at the age of 16. After much pleading her parents agreed to classes with Sharon House in Dunnville, Ontario where she was introduced to the Cecchetti Method of Ballet. With Sharon’s guidance, she achieved her grade exams and was able to attend NBS Teacher’s Intensive Summer Schools.

Her Cecchetti training continued in Toronto at the Joan Kohal Studio, attaining her elementary Certificate as well as performing and choreographing.

Marrying and moving to Gravenhurst, she wished to satisfy her ballet passion by opening the Terry Clarke School of Ballet. In addition to teaching children of all ages, she also continued her Cecchetti studies with Jane Wooding in Collingwood and attained her Intermediate Certification.

After 15 years of successful recitals at the Gravenhurst Opera House, Terry decided it was time to close her school and raise her family. Unable to stay away from ballet she returned to teaching with Wendy Laidlaw at Just4 Kicks, as well as teaching adult ballet at the Bracebridge School of Ballet.

She has retired from the medical reception position she held for many years. Inspired by her core of adult students, Terry now finds immense joy as she continues teaching at BSB.
