    Evelyn began her study of Ballet at the age of 7 at a private school in her hometown of Richmond Hill, Ontario. She completed Ryerson University’s Dance Program, obtaining advanced and professional teaching credentials in both RAD Ballet and ISTD Modern and National methods. Evelyn toured and danced with the critically acclaimed Les Ballets-Jazz de Montreal (bjm danse) after which she performed in numerous CBC television and stage productions as a freelance artist.

    In 1986(to present) Evelyn founded The Bracebridge School of Ballet and concurrently studied for The Enrico Cecchetti Diploma and Fellowship exams at the National Ballet School in Toronto. Many of Evelyn’s students have established professional dance careers across Canada and the United States.

    As Artistic Director of a thriving studio for more than three decades, Evelyn enjoys many guest teaching and choreographic engagements. She is the Past Secretary for The Cecchetti Society of Canada’s Ontario Branch was part of the planning committee to organize the Cecchetti National Summer Conference ‘13 at The National Ballet School in Toronto.  Evelyn also holds her Registered Teacher membership with the Royal Academy of Dance and attends a variety of teacher’s seminars and workshops regularly.

    David Walker is a Toronto based photographer specializing in performance photography. He also cottages in Muskoka and called us out of the blue one day looking for dancers to shoot. Since then we have formed a great relationship and he has photographed many of our students and instructors. The Ballet School is fortunate indeed to have David as a friend.
